Everything and anything.

Ho-ly nuggets it’s been a LONG time.. well, I’m blogging this evening because today has simply been amazing and I want to remember it forever, so y’know, since my memory is worse than a brain-damaged goldfish, I thought I’d blog about it so I can read back on it and smile like I’m smiling at this very moment.. Oh, I know there’s gonna be a HUGE gap in my life in terms of my blogs, but y’know, I’d rather revel in the good of today than in the bad of the past month.. so, here we go..

Well, when I say today was amazing, there’s always gotta be a countered side for it right? Well, college was the not so good side of today.. Well, when I say not so good, it was OKAY.. on a basic level, there was a suprise ‘Gig’ in the college’s LRC (a gig in a library? You’re not the only one that think’s that’s odd..). James and myself felt pretty bad looking around at all the students that were probably trying to work on assignments that were due in like the next day or something with us standing there blasting music at them.. nice choice of location guys..

Anyway, the performance itself went okay, despite the fact that we didn’t get a soundcheck, so through the entirety of our set the levels were constantly being fiddled with and had only just about got a nice mix at the fecking end of our last song.. and the ‘audience’ consisted of music performance and tech students, so they’d all heard our stuff before.. so that’s what I’d like to call a POINTLESS PERFORMANCE.

Moving on to the good stuff.. James and myself headed into Brighton to meet Seperate people, but due to unforseen circumstances, James’ planned contact couldn’t get there to meet him, so I told him he could join me to meet miss Abbie. We arrived *a few minutes late* and then just event after event just made the day better and better. They were mostly relatively small things, but y’know, the little things are what really matter.. I probably won’t get these in the correct order, (forgive me James and abbie) but I’ll get most of it down here..

I think it started off with us walking past a shop and hearing some clown-type horn noise come from inside. I know that probably sounds rediculous, but that was the start of it all for me. James and myself were recognised as regulars in my favorite shop ever (Kissing Fish). Abbie bought me an insence smoke box (despite my protests.. but I do love it though). I felt nearly brainwashed after going to Cyberdog for a few minutes. We discussed the fundamentals of having a guitar that suits your ability in the acoustic section of GaK. We met the happiest cashier I have ever met in Ackerman music as well as this middle aged man that could play blues piano like a pro.. (also discovered that Abbie plays piano). We spent a good few hours in Costa discussing music (amongst many other things) whilst this girl on another table was listening intently and smiling while we were explaining our perception of music (according to Abbie). It was nice to know that our conversation reached out to another, even though she didn’t say anything, Abbie saw that she was taking in our words. We only left Costa because we had to (it was closing). After costa, we took a trip to McDonalds (classy, I know) and got something to eat. then we headed down to the beach and just took in the ocean for a bit before heading back up as the snow started falling and saw Abbie off. Then James and myself headed back to Hometown and to Bigmouths for another coffee and ended up discussing ideas for college and the new band that we’re forming for *hopefully* the remainder of the year. then we said our farewells and now here I am, typing this all out for the sake of my memory, with insence burning in my new smoke box and some Hammock immersing my senses and caressing them into a serene state of calm.

Well, yep.. that was pretty much my day. Hope this killed a decent amount of time for you. It’s not supposed to be interesting either, it’s just my day..
